Afternoon Tea at the Seasons Lounge at Four Seasons - Chicago, IL

My friend Yeena took me out for afternoon tea for my birthday a few months ago.  How can you not love little sandwiches and plates of scrumptious desserts?

They come by with an assortment of little sandwiches.  I tried one of each.  I think there was a chicken, lobster club, goat cheese with roasted red pepper, smoked salmon and an egg or tuna salad sandwich.

Here's a close up.  I've had to make quite a few finger sandwiches for baby showers and such, so let me tell you, it is hard work!  I almost felt guilty eating these little beauties.

Here was our tray of scones, lemon cake, cookies and tarts. They also brought out lemon curd, butter and jam for us to eat with our scones.

Needless to say, I had to try one of everything.  :)  It's been awhile since I had afternoon tea at the Four Seasons, but I definitely did not recall them offering us seconds of the sandwiches or pastries, but the Chicago one totally did.  They even gave us a little box to take home the leftovers, which Dave I'm sure appreciated.

I need to make up another reason to have afternoon tea with girlfriends because a year is too long to wait.  Hmm ... I wonder what I can conjure up?
